When installing CVB (and codemeter) on Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) there are some dependencies for X-lib:s, eg libxinerama0…
Can this be skipped?
Eg using the “force” etc?
Also, how to skip installing the GUI-tools,ie GenICamBrowser etc?
Hi @IngFra , i guess this doesn’t make you happy in the first place, but we can only support the installer as is, and there is no guarantee that a modified version will work. Thank you for understanding that. Packages, that are installed with our script, are there for a reason. If you want to uninstall gui related libraries, you can try, but without guarantee from us.
Currently, there is no “minimal” installation. But:
If the only reason to uninstall gui tools is to safe space (i cannot think of another reason): then you can simply delete their binaries (GenICamBrowser/LicenseManager, under $cvb/bin/) and the shortcuts in the start menu. Also on your own risk.
