# Unable to open GenICam.vln file

Hi,

I am getting the following error when trying to open the GenICam.vln file in Image View:

Unable to load file C:\Program Files (x86)\STEMMER IMAGING\Common Vision Blox\Drivers\GenICam.vln

I also have a stand alone application attempting to use this file and get no image on screen when it is used. No other application is using the file at these times.

If I use the CVMock.vin file everything works fine.

The camera can be accessed from the management console with no problem.

Potential hint - I installed the x64 version initially by mistake. I’ve since uninstalled and deleted as much as possible all files/folders relating to it and installed the x32 version. Could there be an issue there?

Hi,  
I think that is related to your Configuration in the %cvbdata%Drivers/GenICam.ini, something went wrong there. Please delete all the “Configured Devices” in the GenICam Browser and add/configure the target camera again and see whether that solves the problem.
